Barbie dolls and accessories pricing for yard sale?
I have hundreds of barbie items clothes, furniture, food, groceries, shoes, and accessories. Many vintage items a few hard to find. I don’t want to mess with selling on ebay anymore, I do realize I can make more on ebay with them BUT i’d rather take the loss than give anymore money to them at this point. I am braking the items down to sell in groupings in zip lock bags. I wanted to ask anywhere from 1 to 4 dollars per bag depending on the items. Is that to high? To low? or OK. Also some barbies are older 1966, in fair condition with no clothing, what should I price for? Is 2 dollars each to high or should I sell 2-3 at a time? Please help, I don’t want to under cut myself but I also don’t want to over price and not sell them. Thanks
P.s any ideas or suggestions welcome

You need to shop for these items on Google and see what prices you can find for these or similar items. Use those results as a starting point for your prices.
at garage sales people are not going out with hundreds of dollars to search for a collectors item generally. they wont know the difference between your older barbies and newer ones. keep the price pretty low or they won’t sell. three or four dollars should be ok but be prepared to lower the price is someone asks you if they can have it for cheaper
First things first…..the date on your doll’s back that says 1966 is NOT the year the doll was released! It’s actually the date of the mold that they used to make the Barbie dolls from. Chances are that most your dolls are from the 80s and even the 90s.They used that mold on all the dolls up to the release of the new mold in 1992. And,they still use it on some of the dolls today.
Next….If the date on the back of the head says 1977 or 1980,it most likely means it is using the SuperStar face mold, and is NOT from 1977 or 1980,but from a much later date instead.

Those things aside,I’ve been collecting Barbie dolls for around 25 years, and can tell you that most people are not expecting to pay over $1 each for dolls at yard sales, and for $1,we expect them to have clothes (preferably the correct clothes),and shoes or jewelry are always a plus as well.
If the dolls are not dressed, don’t expect more than 50cents each for them.
However, there are exceptions, and well-taken-care-of Happy Holidays dolls can bring $2 to $6 each at yard sales, when the doll has all her clothing, shoes, and accessories.
And,if we’re discussing any NRFB dolls,those will–of course–sale for more as well.

These days, what I am most interested in Barbie-wise at yard sales is finding bags filled with clothing.Usually an XL freezer bag of Barbie clothes runs like $3 or so….but, they are so rare to find these days.
